Bodyspace Challenge!

I have officially entered myself in the Bodyspace transformation challenge. It's about to get real up in here, because I'm posting my before pictures. I've done this contest before and had great results! Only I got off track due to work related stress and went back to some old habits. So here they are!

I'm on day two of the Jamie Eason LiveFit Program, and I'm already feeling great. I know it has to do with my diet, as I have been eating clean and have already lost the bloat. Now to tone up and hopefully take home the prize! Wouldn't that be nice?!

Today in Pictures

Here is my day in pictures:

Today was fairly uneventful. I woke up, we got dressed, drove to Starbucks and bought a White Chocolate Mocha Decaf with Soymilk while Gunner chose the vanilla flavored milk.

I also went to the gym in the first time since school began. I was surprised how quickly I was able to adapt considering I haven't gone in nearly 6 months. My diet is going to be my biggest struggle. I can eat fine all day long, but my biggest vice is fountain cokes and alcohol. I can at least find a lower calorie alternative in alcohol (oh hai there Corona Light!), but sodas? I DEPEND on those to wake up in the morning! Sooo... I had a packet of Greenberry Shakeology instead, a much better and healthier alternative!

Monday I begin the challenge group for Piyo! I'm pretty excited to be a part of this group because it's easier and much more fun than doing it alone!

Tonight, I've been reading The Daily Five by Gail Boushey & Joan Moser. We are having a two-day workshop on this book starting on Monday! NOT looking forward to changing my routines and procedures mid-year, but it has to be done! Although I do highly recommend this book!

New Years Resolutions

I've had such a wonderful break. I've been able to spend time with my son and husband. Not stressed to the max. Not overwhelmed. Not brushing them off because I have to grade papers or complete "Professional Development" for work. In exactly 4 days, I return to work. Back to the constant stress. Back to bringing my work home because there is just so damn much of it that I can't complete it in a day. I often regret going back to school to get certified to teach because I'm no better off than I was working in preschool and getting to spend the majority of my time with my son. I'll be honest, the only thing that keeps me going is my son and those 19 kids who need me. But sometimes I just wonder... Is being this stressed out all the time worth it? Is having multiple nervous breakdowns per month on a worth it? I just don't know anymore. I feel like I don't know what I want anymore. This is why I am thankful for the fresh start of a new year. It is giving me the opportunity to focus on what I want out of this life. Stress is certainly not it. So my NY Resolutions are as follows:

- Save more $$$
- Purchase another home & Sell ours
- Get my workout routine established again
- Drink less (Waayy less... *Sigh*)
- End my career as a teacher and focus on the growth and launch of our (My mom and I's) business.

(*Edit - I forgot to add BLOG MORE to my list of resolutions!)

I've got to make this happen or else I'm going to continue to be miserable. Here's to brand new beginnings and the start of a fabulous new year!

Work Work Work

I am soooooo exhausted. I've been staying up for the past several nights making lesson plans, doing homework for school, working the church nursery, attending a PTA meeting, going to bellydance, etc...etc... And now I have class in the morning. Somebody kill me!

Today I was observed by my mentor at LC (Louisiana College). She observed me on October 23, and I made a score of 3 on the Compass system on which she was scoring me. On today's observation I scored a 4! The highest you can get! I was so excited :) I guess all that hard work is paying off. Of course I have many things to improve on, but I was just so excited to see that I'm not the failure that I feel on a daily basis. I do love my job, although it is very stressful, and I love the school, students, and my coworkers.

Well, I'm off to get ready for bed! I'm going to need a lot of caffeine in the morning!

Almost 3...Going on 13

My son... My almost three-year-old, sweet, baby boy mocked me today.

I was running around the house fussing at him because he was goofing around instead of eating his gumbo like he *should* have been eating it. He then proceeds to MOCK me. Yep. He balled up his tiny little fists and pretended to cry and rub his eyes saying, "Waah waah waah waah!" with that devilish grin on his face. It was basically the Gunner equivalent of calling me a whiney little bitch.

Really?
