Who am I? Well, it depends on who you ask, but I'll start with the basics. I'm a 29-year-old wife, mother, and teacher residing in Louisiana. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music teaching second-grade at a poverty stricken school. I have a wonderful husband named Eric and a 3.5 year old named Gunner. They are the light of my life.
In my spare time (yeah, right), I enjoy music, hanging out with family and friends, and Bellydance. I've taken Bellydance for four years, and I can truly say it is a passion of mine!

My husband and I are college sweethearts. We met at Louisiana College my freshman (his sophomore) year, started out as good friends, drifted apart for awhile after I became engaged to someone else, and became great friends again after the engagement was called off. I denied having any feelings for him whatsoever until another girl decided to pursue him, and I thought I had lost him. Fortunately, we eventually became a couple, and the rest is history!
Eric proposed to me in May of 2008 at a bed and breakfast in the English countryside (pretty romantic, huh?) while on a family trip to England to attend a wedding. We were married October 17, 2009.

After seven months of marriage, we found out I was pregnant and nine months later, my sweet, little man was born on February 16, 2011. Read my birth story!
I've enjoyed every moment watching my baby grow to become the little man he is today!
This blog is the story of us and of our lives - the good, the bad, even the ugly. We, like any other family, have our ups and downs, but i'd rather struggle with my wonderful husband and sweet little man by my side than go through life alone!
